How FuzzyCode keeps kids safe
A straight answer, because you're trusting us with your kid. Three layers do the work: what kids simply can't do, what gets checked automatically, and what only you can approve.
What kids simply can't do
- No free-text chat. Kids can't type messages to other kids through FuzzyCode. Friend messages are picked from pre-written, kid-safe phrases. There is no DM box to misuse, on either end.
-
What your kid sees: messages are assembled from ready-made pieces. - No publishing on their own. A project becomes visible beyond the family only after you approve that exact version. See Approvals.
- No strangers. Friendships require both kids' parents to say yes before anything connects. See Approvals.
- No signup without you. Kids can't create accounts; every kid profile is created by a verified parent.
- No ads, no selling data. FuzzyCode is paid for by your subscription, not by advertising or by selling personal data. Details in the privacy policy.
What gets checked automatically
- Personal information in prompts. Before your kid's typed idea goes to an AI model, it passes a personal-info filter that catches things like names, addresses, and phone numbers. If it finds something, generation stops and your kid is told why.
-
What your kid sees when the filter catches something. - AI pictures, sprites, and sounds. The services that generate them run their own kid-appropriate content moderation, and anything your kid types passes the personal-information filter first.
An honest boundary
Automatic checks are filters, not judgment. The judgment call on anything your kid wants to show the world is reserved for you: that's why publishing is parent-approved per version rather than machine-approved. We'd rather give you real control than promise magic.
The controls you hold
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Disable a kid's login | Stops them signing in, immediately, until you re-enable it. You can also sign them out everywhere. |
| Change their password | Resets the private login credentials you gave them. |
| Sign them out everywhere | Ends their active sessions on all devices right away. |
| Approve or reject sharing | Per project, per version. Published projects can be unpublished later through privacy controls. |
| End a friendship | Either family can disconnect a friendship at any time. |
